KPC Achieved Green PROPER Environmental Management

PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) achieved a Green rating, in the Corporate Performance Rating Program (PROPER) for the period 2017-2018, from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK).

Green rating is an award to companies that do more than required in its environmental management. The PROPER awarding ceremony was held on Thursday (27/12), at Hotel Bidakara, Jakarta, received directly by Muhammad Rudy, KPC’s Chief Operating Officer (COO).

General Manager of External Affairs and Sustainable Development (ESD) KPC, Wawan Setiawan, expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed, so that KPC achieved a Green rating in the field of environmental management.

“I express my gratitude to all parties, both employees and other stakeholders who have contributed to the achievement of this Green PROPER. Especially to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, East Kutai BLHK, and East Kalimantan BLHK as company supervisors, “said Wawan.

KPC Chief Operating Officer (COO) Muhammad Rudy stated that national PROPER aims to enhance the role of companies in environmental management, by adhering to all applicable environmental regulations and implementing conservation and efficient use of natural resources (water and energy).

Director General of Pollution Control and Environmental Damage, M.R. Karliansyah in a press statement, in Jakarta, Thursday (12/27/2018) revealed, from year to year the company’s compliance with environmental regulations was increasing.

This has a big effect on many positive things, both within the company itself and in society. “PROPER has shown very positive results.”We hope that companies in Indonesia will become examples for world-class companies,” Karliansyah said. (*)
